Welcome to Watton Junior School in the heart of Breckland. The school has recently become the fourth school to join Corvus Education Trust which already has three schools rated as good in Watton and South Norfolk. Watton Junior School is developing an inspiring curriculum based on a core story approach which is challenging, stimulating and purposeful. The school has a wonderful outdoor space to encourage creative learning and already has great links with the neighbouring infant school (also part of Corvus). The junior school has a clear focus on making learning even better, and we are working hard as a committed staff team and leaders, both at school and trust level, to improve the experiences and outcomes for all children through quality teaching, high expectations and accurate assessments. We are also developing our community links to offer an extended curriculum to provide real life experiences for all children which will provide them with ambition and a lifelong love of learning.

Helen Kemp – Executive Headteacher

We work within the Corvus Education Trust Policy of Equality of Regard and Educational Opportunity.

We provide a culturally diverse curriculum and adopt non-discriminatory procedures and anti-racist practice.

We aspire to unlock the full potential of every pupil in a safe environment by

Getting to know Wayland Academy

As you know we have been unable to have our Open Evening this year so have had a video produced which you will be able to access by clicking the below link.

Dear All,
Today we launched the above. Over the coming weeks we will be setting a number of challenges across a variety of sports usually included in the school games.
We are hoping that pupils in schools and at home will forward their challenge attempts to us. The schools with the most engagement will be celebrated.
Please can you help to promote this to parents and anyone who you feel might be interested in taking part.
