Welcome from the CEO

Welcome to Corvus Education Trust. The trust includes the following schools:

  • Manor Field Infant and Nursery with a Specialist Resource Base for behaviour
  • Aslacton Primary School
  • Watton Westfield Infant and Nursery School
  • Watton Junior School with Specialist Resource Base for Learning and Cognition

Our schools provide exciting friendly environments enabling us to support children to achieve their very best.

All our schools are extremely well resourced with large open spaces, and have large playing fields and wild areas. We have free flow outdoor learning areas for the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1.

Much of our learning takes place outdoors and all our schools have a hall for indoor sports.

We work closely with the home to provide a variety of inspiring learning experiences in a caring environment that nurtures the child whatever their ability or circumstance. We encourage curiosity and creativity.

The learning environments that we provide encourage, motivate and inspire our young people. Our dedicated staff make sure that they nurture our pupils as individuals. All the staff work as a team to ensure that individual needs are met and that each child achieves their personal best. Additional support is provided to those pupils that need it through intervention programmes or Teacher Assistant support. Able, gifted and talented pupils are encouraged and suitably challenged through an extended curriculum and additional support provided by other professionals.

We encourage parents/carers to come in to talk to us for whatever reason and encourage an ‘open door’ policy. My Executive Headteachers will always make themselves available to talk to parents and pupils. I will contact you as soon as I can should you wish to talk to me or you can make an appointment to see me.

Our aim is to enable our pupils to achieve good academic standards within a broad and balanced curriculum in order to face the challenges of the modern world. Along with a culture of life-long learning we also encourage our pupils to be polite, thoughtful and have a caring attitude towards others.

We have a strong board of Trustees and encourage parents/carers to join our local ‘Friends’ or PTA who are extremely proactive in supporting us. We have close links with the local churches and cluster schools.

In the long term we expect this website will be the first of many contacts between home and school. The relationship between parents and the staff is important to us working together for the benefit of the child.

We are proud of our outward looking schools,
